Creating A Photorealistic Vector Graphic of a Wristwatch

A couple of semesters ago, I took what was rumored to be the hardest course in the Communication department at BYU-Idaho, vector graphics. For years, I heard about the infamous “watch project.” It’s a tedious project that requires you to take a real image of a wristwatch and replicate it exactly as a vector graphic without using any sort of tracing.

So, how did my watch project go? Well, I actually loved it! Funny enough, time was the key to succeeding on the wristwatch project. I managed and set aside a lot of that, even with other class projects going on. This project is one of my proudest accomplishments.

The real image can be found to the right and my vector graphic can be found to left.
